Rescue date: 29 October 2010
The Guardia Civil rang the rescue centre to say that there were 3 horses in terrible condition which included not having food or water. Gypsy Lady was the worst one as she was in extremely bad condition.
She was kept in a shelter which was made of orange boxes and wasn't able to stand because the shelter was not high enough.
When she came to the rescue centre, the vet checked her over and said that her womb was in bad condition due to having too many foals.
Update - 09 May 2011 Since arriving at the centre Gypsy Lady (who had an uncanny resemblance to our beloved Chance who had passed away only 2 weeks before) continues to do well. With the correct nutrition and loving care she has became fit enough and strong enough to follow in Chance's foot steps and become the meet and greet girl for the horse tours and her sweet and gentle nature make her an ideal companion for the children to fuss over in the Pony Club!
Rest in Peace Our Beautiful Gypsy Lady.
