Easy Horse Care Rescue Centre

Our mission is to rescue and rehabilitate abused, neglected and abandoned horses, ponies and donkeys, while campaigning for the better treatment of animals across Spain. We are a no-kill foundation and provide each rescued animal with a safe and loving sanctuary – either here at our centre or via rehoming – for the rest of their lives.

Rescue centre fundraising events

A bumper 420 euros was raised by kind hearted volunteers who gave their day up to pack bags at Iceland to raise funds for the Rescue Centre.

Rod and Sue Weeding, founders of the centre would like to say a big thank you to Iceland staff and customers for their generosity and continued support. Also in attendance at the bag packing event was Cassandra our Swedish volunteer at the centre who has been of enormous support to Rod and Sue over the past few months. Cassandra is due to return home to Sweden shortly and will be sorely missed! New volunteers are set to arrive from America to help with the ever increasing tasks at the Rescue Centre.

More events are planned to raise funds for EHCRC to enable them to buy Faith the pony a new, more sophisticated prosthetic limb. THE FAITH Rock Band and Dan the Man, loyal supporters of the Centre are due to play at Bocados on 20 July 2011, situated in the Centro Commercial at Los Dolses, La Zenia next to Pets World. Tickets are 5 euros each and can either be bought on the door on the evening, or from the Rescue Centre. Food is available if required. Don't miss this fantastic evening out! There may be a special appearance on the night from Faith the pony in person! For more information contact Sue on 652 021 980.

Chris, one of the volunteers and fundraisers at the centre would like to thank everyone who has participated in her lucky dips, raffles and the signing of her Faith get well cards which has raised an incredible 720 euros so far. This money is to be used to concrete the area where the horses are stabled and for adequate drainage to be installed to make it safer; in winter the area is very muddy and slippery, making it especially difficult for a three legged little horse to get around!! Please visit Chris on open days at the rescue centre, where she can be found lending her support to the bric a brac stall.

Easy Horse Care Rescue Centre receives no official funding and relies entirely on donations. Online donations can be made on our website at www.easyhorsecare.net, by direct debit, or in person at the centre. Please call Sue on 652 021 980. Open days Wednesdays and Sundays 1.00-4.00pm.
