New charity shop for Easy Horse Care Rescue Centre
Easy Horse Care Rescue Centre proudly welcomes its fifth charity shop which was officially inaugurated on Friday 2nd November in Guardamar.
Situated on the main road through the town, co-founder Sue Weeding opened the store along with Tafetta, the first horse they rescued in 2008. Sue said this was a location that many people had asked for and easily accessible from the N-332.
"These shops are proving to be important information points about the centre and help increase awareness of what we do within the community. They provide us with vital funds and we will be opening more."
Manager Diane Pickering says the Guardamar store is open Monday to Friday 10am – 4pm and Saturday mornings from 10am – 2pm and they welcome donations of clothes, furniture and bric a brac with the shop looking more like an eclectic boutique than a charity shop such is the quality of some of the items. Furniture donations can be collected and delivered with a large range on display in the La Zenia store.
Diane is currently looking for more volunteers to donate a few hours in the shop. Anyone interested should call her on 693 930 737. For more information on the Rescue Centre visit www.easyhorscare.net
The Rescue Centre is now holding its open days on Sundays only throughout winter from 1-4pm to enable them to carry out essential works to improve the Rescue Centre and to make it more wheelchair friendly.
"We are getting a lot more disabled visitors so this is something that is important for us to improve and has been financed thanks to the donations and money raised from our charity shops.
